Again, discipline.

Do ‘new year resolutions’ work? I have always believed it is one of those things we rush off to do but never actually get done. I had one resolution for 2015 which I blogged about and that was Discipline. I didn’t have a list, just this word to guide me. And did it work? Yes.

A lot of times this year, I wanted to give up or even get lazy but then this word would creep into my head and I’d find myself sitting up, give one more push, stay up one more hour, wake up earlier to accommodate gym or at times, simply not spend that cash. Being disciplined has helped me build a strength of character. I think 2015 was a good year, working with discipline and all. And best of all, I have enjoyed Grace!

“These are the  proverbs of Solomon, David’s son, King of Israel. Their purpose is to teach people wisdom and discipline…their purpose is to teach people disciplined and successful lives. 1:1-3. …fools are destroyed by their own complacency. 1:32b

I am not sure yet if I want to have resolutions for 2016, for now I think I would like to perfect this art called discipline. It is a beautiful thing.

So, this is a girl that wakes up every morning wondering 'How can I make my lil corner of the universe a bit more beautiful?' And I believe that is by spreading a little bit of kindness everyday. I love God to bits majorly because He loved me first. Drama has a way of finding me...or I find it...I'm not sure anymore these days. Mostly, even I don't know much about me, I'm still on that path of self-discovery but one thing I have found out so far is that no matter how many dragons breathe fire her way, this Rockstar is totally slaying them. Family is first, no contest! You have an idea on how to spread some kindness or something you want us to talk about, hit me nicely at gatlin_may@yahoo.com And thanks for stopping by!
