I was reading the updates on Kim Davies and her loss on the bid to delay issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples. I fervently commend this woman taking this stand and not cowering in the face of the justice system and the mob that are hating her right now for her position.
I also see these YouTube videos on how people are ready to lynch same-sex couples and the amount of hatred oozing out of them when they talk about these folks.
Here, mind you, I am not arguing for or against. What I think the main reason most of the people of the earth are anti-LGBT (I think that’s incomplete but I can’t remember the most recent full heading) is because the Bible, which is historically our reference point as human beings, refers to all such things as detestable practices. And before we started worshiping modernization and industrialization, we actually served this God, we loved Him and we listened to His advice. So yes, majority of people are going to be anti-LGBT. But when I see the hatred directed at the people that have identified with the LGBT movement, I sometimes wonder if we are still doing this in obedience to God. Or it’s actually just easier for us to pick out people that we consider ‘more sinful’ than we are.
